Workshop History


With the importance and rapid development of materials science and technology, the need to exchange information about new discoveries among scientists and engineers is daily increasing. To fulfil this demand, VNU University of Science in collaboration with its partners had organized International Workshops on Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (IWAMN) in Hanoi, for the first time in 2009 (IWAMN 2009), for the second time in 2012 (IWAMN 2012), and for the third time in 2016 (IWANM 2016).


In 2023, IWAMN has been renamed to IWAMD (The 4th International Workshop on Advanced Materials and Devices), in conjunction with the great success as well as the companion of Journal of Science: Advanced Materials and Devices (JSAMD, Impact factor: 7.38), towards the development and applications of new material-based modern devices in industry, engineering, and medicine. IWAMD 2023 will be held in Thai Nguyen from August 10 to 13, 2023.
